maya angelou would be proud...

here's the newest element hubz added to our nursery decor. the subtext to be absorbed by our little baby is that, someday, the door is open for her to fly free and strong and land in a sweet cherry blossom tree across the window. or, you know, whatever.

-m.y.

p.s. wasn't the rain last night great? I mean, aside from making me have to go to the bathroom every thirty minutes.

p.p.s. has everyone read Angelou's 'I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings'? it was one of my favorite books when I was younger, and I suddenly wish it was in front of me.

I love that book. Did he free-hand the tree or it a decal? Either way, it looks great.

Love both the text (the bible verse) and the sub-text in baby's room. I adore Maya Angelou. Now I'll have to think about rereading I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. Wish I had a copy to put in front of you but I read a borrowed book that's been long returned.
