three months and a trip to hico

I'm late posting these here, but this is what our three month old looked like on the 15th... she's a darlin', sweet sweet thing! hmmm, what is she doing... she likes to stand up as much as possible. she likes to be up on your shoulder or facing out so she can see what's going on. she likes to be in the same room with you in the bumbo, chair, swing, whatever, just to hang out and watch what you're doing. margaret ann likes to kick the water in the bathtub good and hard, and is still always up for a meal or snack every 2-2.5 hrs. she's turning and craning her head more to look around and see what's happening, and scoots herself off her activity gym mat regularly (and then lays there blinking at the ceiling fan, because there's nothing to look at or play with out there). she's starting to grab a lot more and trying to put whatever's in her hand into her mouth. she's 'talking' to us a lot, exuberantly embracing vowels mostly. she loves to be sung to, and seems to like a variety of music. when she cries little coughing cries that usually means she's hungry, general fussing accompanied with eye rubbing = about to go to sleep, alert fussing might be signaling a questionable diaper, and a wail is either 'yipes, you startled me!' or 'I'm so offended that you put me down when I clearly just need to be held by you!'. I love her smile and the openness and trust in her eyes... when we're nursing and looking at each other, I gaze into them and pray I do right by her.

it's almost time to head back to church. yawn. everyone's currently napping at my house except me. oh well. it's been a busy - but good - weekend. :)

I have two goals this week: to go to the gym (I feel STUCK!) and drink water. and print out some pictures and frame them. and finish a book. and something else and that other one I meant to do last week. so more than two goals, I guess, but less than, oh, ten.
